Terms built around responsible teams

Backfield terms for adult youth-sports leaders.

Last updated July 30, 2026

Authorized users

Users must be adults with authority to represent the team, school, league, booster club, nonprofit, or organization connected to the campaign. Users are responsible for the accuracy of their campaign claims and sponsor offers.

Campaign responsibility

Teams control their own story, packages, fulfillment commitments, payment links, and sponsor relationships. Backfield may reject, suspend, or remove campaigns that appear unsafe, misleading, unauthorized, unlawful, or inconsistent with youth-sports community standards.

No payment custody

During launch, Backfield does not process sponsorship funds. Payment occurs through an external organization-owned provider such as Zeffy, Givebutter, Square, Stripe Payment Links, a school foundation page, or another path.

No professional advice

Backfield is not legal, tax, accounting, fundraising, or compliance advice. Teams and sponsors should consult qualified advisors about charitable status, deductibility, sponsorship treatment, and local rules.

Before launch

  • ✓ Replace company/legal entity placeholders before launch.
  • ✓ Confirm refund, dispute, and removal processes.
  • ✓ Confirm acceptable-use language with counsel.
  • ✓ Publish only after owner approval.
